Lineage and work
Raman Suprajarama is Senior Editor of The Astrological eMagazine, the journal of record for Jyotiṣa, published since 1895 and read in more than thirty countries. He is the sixteenth generation of his family to practise it.
He was taught from childhood by his grandfather, Dr. B. V. Raman, who edited the journal for over sixty years, and in Vāstu Śāstra by his father, Niranjan Babu, its Chief Editor.
He teaches Jyotiṣa in classes, workshops and online courses, and in the articles he writes for the journal. He applies it to the affairs of nations: elections and political leadership, the economy and the financial markets, war and international tension. He counsels privately on marriage, career, capital and succession.
Two methods came out of his research on the hora: the Raman Hora, on wealth, and the Niranjan Hora, on āyus and the urges of life. He named each for the teacher who gave him the subject.
